I'm pleased to announce the new ARPOC website. I've spent the past few weeks installing, updating and creating a new online home for our community with some new features and a cleaner, faster user experience.
Our old home ran on some forum software (Vbulletin V4) which has become End Of Life, meaning it no longer receives updates and can't run on the latest versions of "backend" software like PHP. It had quite a lot of custom development behind the scenes which allowed the ARPOC site to generate award certificates, provide a community generated map of good portable operating locations and a dedicated spots system, all of which will be ported over to this new site. Everything has to be rewritten from scratch and it's something I can only do in my spare time so it may take a while but I'll be starting with the awards system very soon.
The new software I'm using (XenForo) has imported all ARPOC member accounts and content so everyone can log in as usual. The only data I couldn't bring over was the articles but I'm working on that as we speak so they may appear soon! You should find that the website is now faster, easier to navigate and has a much better layout on mobile devices.
