    Re: Back Mobile

I am working on a new HF antenna which will allow me to get on 75 Meters. I found a coil made by a ForTex and it is huge. I am currently getting it all tuned up.

    Re: Hustler mobile whips

That is the adapter plate and as shown you can actually use 4 resonators on it by using one to hold the plate on the mast. I used a 15 meter resonator with a longer whip for 20 meters to make it...

    Re: Hustler mobile whips

I actually did pretty well with them. The 40 and 75 meter coils are fairly narrow but the 20 meter and up will usually cover the phone band without having to re-tune. I built my Bug Catcher style...

    Re: Hustler mobile whips

    Hi Matt

I started out with a Hustler antenna. The resonators mount on a 54" mast and there is also an adapter plate which allows mount 3 resonators at the same time for instant band changes.

    Re: Lack of activity

I hope you can stir things up to get more activity. Is it the "Ho Hum" band conditions at solar minimum that is making it slow?

    Re: IC-703 or FT-817

I run an IC706MK2G in my mobile and it is a great rig. I got it so I could have HF, VHF and UHF with a single control head on the console. I would really like an IC703 if I could ever find one at a...

    Re: IC-703 or FT-817

Until I can afford a KX3, IC-703 or a FT817 I have been using an Alinco DX70TH with the internal jumper set for 5/50 watts which gives me QRP ops and a bit of power when I need it. I use a Z11...

Some great ideas there. I just picked up a 30' fiberglass pole and this is giving some new ideas for getting it up in the air.
