    Repair job

I started repairing my 20 meter ham stick today. Luckily there is only one break in the winding.

I was going to heat shrink the unbroken bit tonight but the heat shrink I had in the house would not fit over the ends.
Hopefully I have some that will fit in my van. If I am not called into work tomorrow night it will be fixed.

It may well of been. I came home one day and it was by the door yo my flat. The 3/8 to 259 adapter had snapped, someone must of picked it up for me. Then it was in the back of my van along with my gardening equipment and rubbish that I had collected. When my van is back on the road I will put bit of down pipe in it to put my ham sticks in.

I would be interested to know if you have another similar whip, you can try something like this http://www.peteronion.org.uk/G0DZB/M....html#Extended with a 20m whip and see how far the resonance drops ?
