    Infomation needed

    Hi can anyone give me ant information on this antenna wire

    I did have two of them but can only find one at the moment.
    Bought at the Rochdale QRP Convention around 1999-2000.

    Looks like Clansman (British Army Radios) antenna wire.

    It is indeed Racal antenna wire.

    When you cut into it you should find a yellow ish stranded core (made from kevlar strands) with a wire outer screen and a tough green plastic outer jacket.

    Great for making antennas

    Took a knife to it. Photo not very good, used phone and cropped it.

    Yup. That's Racal wire. It may not be the Kevlar version but it's good for portable antennas.

    Sometimes it can be a bit tough to solder (take a bit of the inner core out first obviously!)
