Our set up for the May VHF contest

I joined in with a local contest group for the May VHF contest. Unfortunately I was only able to stay for a few hours and help get the antennas up but it was great fun. A serious /P VHF station!

    2 x 13 Ele Cushcraft on a 60' trailer mast (raised to around 40') and 4 x 4 Ele DK7ZB. The DK7ZB's were mounted a little low!

Nice one. I remember the gin pole days (I like gin pole and I am sticking to it )
never had the luxury of a tower though.

Saw the flag somewhere on facebook. Don't think it was in the VHF contesting group.

The group is based at the Capel Battery which used to be home to the 424th Coast Battery Royal Artillery. Only fitting to fly their flag

Shame they didn't leave a few 12 pounders behind...

Ah Capel! That's Ian H. That's where I saw it.
