KX3/PX3 Stands
I have been busy with the wood. I purchased my PX3 about 4 weeks ago and have loved using it and finding all its additional uses i.e. PXK31, RTTY, Waterfalls etc.
My main problem was having the KX3/PX3 on my desk amongst all the other clutter on a working area, so looking on the internet I came across a fleeting picture of a piggyback stand for the units. So into the garage, pull out some wood and make my stand.
The MK1 was made from plywood, OK but not elegant, so to MK2 made from wood for the Shack. This came out better than expected and very please with it - footpring on the desk manageble.
Then out last week using my MK1 stand and found it too bulky and didn't look nice when people came and asked about Amateur Radio, so back to the garage and used up the remainder of the wood and came up with MK3 the /Portable version - it has hinges on the top so it can be folded flat, and hooks on both sides to keep it sturdy with a mini bungie between the two hooks.
Now please to go out Portable with my KX3/PX3 looking good on the field table.... More photos to follow when out playing...

Re: KX3/PX3 Stands
I find that when using the PX3 portable I often need to set it's angle to minimise reflections from the screen. Invariably the built in legs will not support it at an appropriate angle (which is often near vertical to remove reflections from the sky). A stand that provides a fully adjustable mounting angle would be really useful.
